I'm Philipp, a photographer based in Berlin. I've been taking pictures since I was five, back then still on film.

What interests me is perspective: on the world and on things. That's why I work mainly in reportage, portraiture and conceptual photography, because that's where I'm most myself.

Working in theatre strengthened my urge to frame what I see rather than stage it.
Life and the world do the staging on their own.

I work with analogue and digital.

Ich bin Philipp, Fotograf in Berlin. Ich fotografiere, seit ich fünf Jahre alt bin, damals noch analog.

Mich interessiert die Perspektive: auf die Welt und auf die Dinge. Deshalb arbeite ich vor allem in Reportage, Porträt und Konzept, denn dort bin ich am ehesten ich selbst.

Die Arbeit am Theater hat mich darin bestärkt, das Gesehene in Szene zu setzen, statt zu inszenieren.
Das tun das Leben und die Welt schon von allein.
